We have to get into a single level home...at first I was ok with the bedrooms all on one level. After last night, it HAS to be a single level. We are lucky to have Gabe alive this morning!
Last night about 4 am, I was awakened to someone poking my arm....I woke up and it was Gabe, he says to me "I go out, play snow." I told him NO....Its dark and its time to be sleeping....he says "take daddys light, gabe go play in snow"
I got him back to bed, and back to sleep, but all I can think now is what if? He could have just went outside with daddy's flashlight...in his jammies, with the windchill of major negatives overnight he would have frozen to death within 30 min. We cannot hear the door alarm with the heater on.
SO we HAVE to get the whole house on one level, and I have to find door alarms that are LOUD!!
